CATERING AT THE CHIPPERY
At The Chippery we have three ways of catering for large groups – a substantial buffet for shared lunch or dinner AKA “The Whole Wahu”, finger food / rustic canapés AKA “Small Sardines” or individually boxed meals AKA “Individually Baited”. Our catering packages are open to groups of ten or more. If you're a group of twenty or less and require a little more variety you are welcome to order from our full menu. If you require something a little more tailored to your needs then please don’t be shy, just drop us a line.
Naturally, if there are dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, or gluten free we will make that person a meal specifically for them. Just let us know when you place your order with the online order forms. We do for example have a dedicated gluten free fryer and gluten free batter available.
THE WHOLE WAHU
The simplest way to feed the school for lunch or dinner. Tell us how many you are feeding and what tickles your fancy and we will make sure everyone is well fed.
We deliver in our large Chippery boxes that are perfect for keeping the food warm. You can serve straight from the box or move onto your own platters for something a bit more fancy. We’ll provide you with Eco Friendly plates, napkins and cutlery so you can avoid the washing up guilt free.
SMALL SARDINES
Our finger food doesn't take itself too seriously and is a casual and fun way to offer your guests a taste of The Chippery whilst being able to mix and mingle with a drink in hand. We recommend choosing at least four types of canapés and a box of chips for a pre-dinner event or at least six types of canapé with one or two varieties of chips for any other occasion. Everything arrives in large Chippery boxes to maintain the ideal temperature.
You can display the food in a rustic fashion using our packaging or you can arrange onto your own platters. We’ll provide the Eco-napkins, we’re generous like that.
INDIVIDUALLY BAITED
Allow your guests to choose their main part of the meal from either beer battered market fish, panko crumbed fish, battered Island Bay sausage, or panko crumbed brie. You choose the style of fries for the whole group to keep the ordering simple, and then simply add sauces and sides. Too easy.
THE SMALL PRINT
We usually email an invoice to our clients for catering bookings, and you can pay by bank transfer or debit/credit card by using the link embedded in the invoice. Payment must be made within seven days of receipt of food. In some circumstances, a deposit may be required before your event.
On occasion, we may need to substitute items subject to availability. We will not do this without consulting with our clients first.
All prices are subject to change, this online order form does not constitute a formal quote. The Chippery reserves the right to modify this order or to cancel this order, but will only do so after providing sufficient notice.
The Chippery will do its very best to deliver the food at the agreed time. However, The Chippery cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control which may influence the delivery time.
The customer shall not have any right of rejection of the catering supplied. In the event of any dispute, including disputes regarding quality or delivery delay, the customer must accept and pay for the catering and later settle any claim with The Chippery.
If you need to cancel your event, then forty-eight hours notice must be given to receive a full refund. After that refunds are at The Chippery’s discretion.
